Established in 2006, Gretsa University is a progressive University committed to offering quality and relevant higher education. The University is duly registered and accredited by the Commission for University Education (CUE). The University offers, Degree, Diploma and Certificate programmes in Business; Computer Science; Hospitality Management; Education; Health Sciences; Technology and Agricultural Management all under a variety of specialization options.

As at December 2022, the university had successfully held 13 graduations with over 8,500 graduands having been conferred with Degrees and awarded Certificates and Diplomas. These graduates play a critical role in the socio-economic development of Kenya in particular and the rest of the world.
